• Overal plot: the protagonist's life

 e.g. Black Swan focuses on the life of the main character Nina and how they are directly effected by the events of the ballet play.

 

• Focus: Protagonist's obstacles, conflicts, and struggles (social, political, religious, personal, etc issues)

e.g. addiction, poverty, mental, physical illness, family

• Ending: the protagonist may or may not overcome the obstacle, however there is often a strong moral message

• “Meet-cute”: the love interests having their interesting, unusual encountering (sometimes happen in unlikely situations)

• Chemistry: create a sense of attraction and tension between the two characters​
